Why Taking Personal Time Off Is Important

No matter which department you're in—Sales, Finance, Operations, Support, or Leadership—making your Personal Time Off (PTO) a priority is key to keeping a healthy Work/Life Balance. It's your chance to recharge, relax, and refresh, which in turn boosts your productivity and job satisfaction. So, whether you're crunching numbers, sealing deals, managing operations, helping customers, or leading a team, taking some time for yourself is an important part of the puzzle to make sure you're at your best both personally and professionally.

Lots Of PTO Options

At Simpay, we've got a variety of PTO options just for you, from vacation days to paid time off for volunteering. We totally get how important it is to keep a good work-life balance, so we really want all our full-time Simpayans to make the most of these perks. Whether you need a mental health day, some quality time with family and friends, or just a little break to recharge, our PTO options are here to give you the flexibility to focus on you! So go ahead, plan that vacation, take a long weekend, or simply enjoy a day off—your well-being means the world to us.

Floating Holidays

Our team members get two floating holiday days on top of their regular, accrued PTO. Feel free to use these floating holidays whenever you like for personal, religious, or cultural reasons throughout the year. If you join Simpay after July 1st in your first year, you'll receive one Floating Holiday. Just a heads up, these floating holidays don't roll over, so make sure to enjoy them each year. There's no minimum "service time" needed, so every Simpayan can take advantage of this extra PTO!

Birthday Time Off

Do you love celebrating your birthday? Well, guess what? You get Birthday PTO too! Pick any day during your birthday month to make it extra special. Just have a quick chat with your leadership to request the time off. There's no tenure requirement for Birthday PTO, and it resets every work anniversary year without rolling over, so go ahead, take a day off, and treat yourself to a big slice of birthday cake!

Charitable Time Off

Every Simpayan gets a full day (8 hours) each year of paid time off to volunteer, giving you the chance to give back to your community and make a positive impact. To enjoy the Charitable Time Off benefit (CTO), you just need to have been with us for at least a year. Just a friendly reminder, the CTO doesn't roll over, so be sure to use it each year before your work anniversary.

Accrued Paid Time Off

 

Accrued PTO is determined by a few things, with your length of service being the first. You can start using your accrued PTO after your first ninety days with Simpay. The longer you stay with us, the more PTO you'll earn! Generally, your PTO bank resets on your work anniversary each year, and you can carry over up to forty hours into the next year. Make sure to use your PTO, as any unused hours will be forfeited. So, chat with your leadership and plan some well-deserved time off—you've earned it!

Keep in mind that time off rollover policies might vary from Simpay's standard policy depending on the state or local laws where you are. Don't forget to submit all PTO requests through your online employee portal.
