The Simpayan Connection - November is a time for Gratitude

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, it's time to reflect on gratitude.
November Time Off
Simpay will be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th. This means most Simpayans will enjoy a well-deserved four-day weekend. While there are lots of ways to fill up your time, we hope you set aside a few hours to relax and recharge.
One of the best things about this long weekend is most of your colleagues and vendors also take time off, so there aren't quite so many emails to come back to on Monday!
A Time to Give Thanks
Whether your Thanksgiving weekend is about food, family, friends, football or just disconnecting from work for a few days, one excellent practice is giving thanks for what's good in your life right now. Writing a list of everything you're thankful for is a surprisingly simple way to appreciate what's wonderful for you. There's no target number, this isn't a test, no one else has to see your list but, of course, you can share it if you want to. Just the act of listing out what you're personally thankful for is great for your mental health and attitude about life.
More Ways to Show Appreciation
There are countless ways you can show someone else you appreciate them and their actions. Here are just a few:
1) Say "Thank you" - One of the simplest ways to show you appreciate someone is to simply say “Thank you!” You can say the actual words to the person, or write a note, or put post-its up for them to find. Whichever way you choose to thank someone, be specific and let them know what they did (or didn’t do) that made you so appreciative.
2) Shine a light on someone - Boast to other people (in a kind and gentle manner) about what someone did that made you appreciative. Tell other people that so – and – so did such – and – such and how it made you feel.
3) Build a daily list - try writing a list of people you come across throughout the day and what they did that made you appreciate them. Then make sure you let them know.
